Nerd HQ - A few more pics - thought I was done but I felt like I needed to point out exactly how many shots I got of Jensen Ackles’ neck. Like his whole throat and neck. I mean it’s like he wants us to notice it. And create tags for it. He’s a bona fide neck tease I’ve decided. Such a cruel thing to be really.

John Winchester’s journal is very important to Dean
Ok but can we talk about this please?
The fact that- the things in John’s journal? Very intimate. The book wasn’t all just about wendigos and crocattas; as anyone who’s taken the time to look up the released journal and read it knows, there is some extremely personal stuff that book.
Dean is extremely protective of that journal. It’s one of the last things he has now of his father. It only makes sense that he’d be hesitant to let anyone else even touch it.
Sam, whose relationship with John is extremely different than Dean’s, has no qualms about passing the journal over to Henry.
It irks Dean though. Look how uncomfortable he is. He doesn’t like strangers prying into their private lives, into John’s private life.
Because even though Henry has given Sam an Dean no reasons to doubt him, even though he is technically blood, in Dean’s eyes, Henry is still a stranger.
Henry is not yet family: he hasn’t earned that right. Dean, still chafing over Henry’s (lack of a) role in John’s life, and what that amounted to for the brothers, doesn’t like it.
But Castiel? This angel who has made so many mistakes, who has lied to them, kept secrets from them, and even betrayed them when it was necessary? Dean doesn’t even blink.
Because, mistakes or not, Castiel is family. He has earned that right; not in blood, but in deed.
Because, each time he fell, he managed to claw his way back to the surface, back to Sam and Dean.
Because he may have placed many a brick in the road to Hell, but he was always, always doing it for the Winchesters.
Dean, mister, ‘no chick-flick’ or ‘Hallmark’ moments, is just letting Castiel sift through the journal. All these facts that John added in, about Sam and Dean as children, about Mary: they’re all there and available to the angel.
Dean, honestly, couldn’t care less. Because he trusts Cas, with all the Winchester family secrets. Because, blood or not, Castiel- Angel of the Lord- is an honorary Winchester in Dean’s book.
It’s so subtle, but that amount of trust, the willingness to, essentially bare something that’s extremely personal to Dean?
It speaks volumes. Because Dean is never that open about things, ever. Not even to Sam. But for Cas? Not even a problem.
Ship them or not, Castiel is one of the best things that has ever happened to Dean Winchester.
